Terms of Use

Welcome to Deaf XYZ Community Events & Classifieds Network (“Deaf XYZ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, listings, and related features (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Deaf XYZ. If you are under the age required by applicable law in your country, you may not use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements.
2. Account Registration & Security
Some parts of the Service require an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected breach by contacting info@deafxyz.com. We are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account except where required by law.
3. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
To keep Deaf XYZ safe and welcoming, you must not use the Service to:
- Post illegal content or engage in unlawful activities;
- Harass, bully, threaten, or discriminate against individuals or groups;
- Post sexually explicit or pornographic material or solicit sexual activity;
- Share personally identifiable information (PII) about others without consent;
- Impersonate another person, organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- Post fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive listings or offers;
- Upload content that violates intellectual property rights;
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unsolicited commercial messages;
- Harvest data from the Service, scrape content, or use automated tools without our prior written consent;
- Attempt to circumvent our security or moderation systems.
4. Content Posted by Users
You retain ownership of content you post, but by posting you grant Deaf XYZ a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for format/compatibility), distribute, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. You represent that you have the right to grant this license.
Public classifieds and event listings are visible to other users and the general public. Do not post sensitive personal information in public posts.
5. Moderation & Compliance
Deaf XYZ moderates content and enforces these Terms. We may remove, edit, or restrict access to content that violates our Terms, Community Guidelines, or applicable law. Moderation may be performed by automated systems and human reviewers.
We may also suspend or terminate accounts, issue warnings, or apply other penalties for violations. Enforcement actions will be proportional to the violation and may vary based on severity, intent, and prior conduct.
6. Reporting Abuse & Appeals
If you encounter abusive, fraudulent, or rule-violating content, please report it using the in-site reporting tools or by emailing info@deafxyz.com. Provide as much detail as possible. We will review reports in accordance with our procedures.
If your content or account is moderated and you believe this was in error, you may submit an appeal to info@deafxyz.com. Appeals will be reviewed, but submission does not guarantee reversal.
7. Violations & Remedies
For violations of these Terms we may, at our discretion, take one or more corrective actions including:
- Removing or restricting access to content;
- Issuing warnings or temporary suspensions;
- Permanent account termination;
- Blocking IP addresses or preventing future registration; and
- Reporting unlawful activity to authorities when required.
We may also take legal action if appropriate. You remain responsible for content you post even after account termination.
8. Intellectual Property
Deaf XYZ and its licensors own all rights to our platform, trademarks, logos, and original content. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials without prior written permission.
9. Third-Party Services & Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Use of third-party services is subject to the third party’s terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deaf XYZ and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Our aggregate liability for direct damages arising from these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you actually paid to Deaf XYZ in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Deaf XYZ and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.
13. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, certain provisions (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, etc.) will survive.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the Service or email and post the updated Terms with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Deaf XYZ is incorporated, unless otherwise required by local law. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to mandatory local consumer protections.
16. Miscellaneous
- These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, form the entire agreement between you and Deaf XYZ regarding the Service.
- If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
- We do not waive rights by failing to enforce them immediately.
